Workshop
Lava Objects was born from the desire to experiment with the hands, almost naive and playful way, with the sole intention of enjoying and exploring. My name is Laura Aguilar, I am from Costa Rica, designer, I live in Barcelona and I am a creator of Lava Objects.
At Lava Objects we experiment with concrete as a raw material, we explore various techniques of constructive origin in search of unconventional and aesthetically beautiful results. We create small collections of very limited editions where each piece is unique and very calmly handmade from our workshop in Barcelona.
We like to treat the material as what has never been, think outside the box, take it out of a preconceived context, the antagonistic to: rough, which we are used to; We like to give life to the material with softer and delicate characteristics, transforming it into everyday objects without losing its raw essence and intimacy between the hands and the material which is so gratifying.
